I just got back from a two-weeks vacation on the northern coast of Spain where I spent most of my time on the beach. Swimming daily was set to be the highlight of my trip, so packing durable, bold, and colorful swim shorts was a priority for me.
As someone who loves to be on the beach during the hot summer days, whether that be diving off a sailboat or lounging in the sand, I basically live in my swimwear. Simply put, I need to always have a pair that I feel comfortable in, fits well, and doesn't fade in chlorine, sun or salt water. Brands like Frescobol Carioca, Orlebar Brown, Vilebrequin, and Club Monaco all have those qualities.
To help you pack for your next beach vacation, see my 8 picks below:
I have had this pair for a while and they're still some of my favorites. The bold navy and yellow combo is a fun choice.
This multicolored prism swim shorts is both dynamic and bold. The Orlebar Brown bulldog style is a iconic classic style that was made famous by Daniel Craig in the movie Skyfall.
While Orlebar Brown is known for their intricate scenery printed swim shorts, my style is their new collaboration with luxury hotel chain, Mandarin Oriental. The detailing on this swimsuit is perfect, completed with the gold accents.
For a solid, yet bright option that is good for a daily swim, I usually opt for Vilebrequin’s fitted stretch solid in Hawaii blue.
Luxury, yet budget-friendly, Club Monaco’s Leaf print is a polished approach to beach season’s favorite style.
