The Australian Fashion Foundation Celebrated its 10th Anniversary At Gitano Garden of Love

After a decade of bridging the seemingly far gap between the global fashion market and Australian fashion talents, the Australian Fashion Foundation celebrated its Anniversary at Gitano’s Garden of Love with a few of their closest friends. Co-founded by Malcolm Carfrae of Carfrae Consulting and Julie Anne Quay of VFILES, each year, the AUSFF works with budding fashion entrepreneurs and students to award two $20,000 grant and internships to top fashion brands like Calvin Klein and Thom Browne, to the next generation of Australian fashion talents.

Presented by Bird in Hand, an Australian Winery, and American Australian Association, the perfect summer night flowed with Rosé in hand and Mexican-inspired bites by Gitano as the loyal New York Aussie community reunited under one palm tree filled roof. The Honorary hand-picked guest list included the likes of brother and sister design duo Marc Freeman and Camilla Freeman-Topper, Dion Lee, Laura Brown, Eric Rutherford, Nicole Warne, Trent Fraser and Ezra J Williams.

Founded on the principle of mentoring passionate talents and providing world class, hands-on international experiences continues to fuel the drive of the foundation. With the hopes of awarding more than two recipients of the yearly scholarship, the group serves to further expand and enrich the world with emerging Australian fashion designers.
